Who benefits from this sale?
Proceeds from this sale will benefit the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society Capital Campaign, "Growing a Living Legacy". "Growing a Living Legacy" is an $11,000,000 capital campaign to fund an education center, visitor services building,
more parking and a new garden area (completed Spring 2012). Buildings designed by Olson Kundig are inspired by nature
and will nestle into the existing landscape. The Society in partnership with the City of Bellevue has raised nearly 85% of the
funding goal (as of summer 2012). Please refer to www.growingalivinglegacy.org for current information.
What will be sold?
The Vintage Sale will feature donated quality antiques, collectibles, and home decor items. We appreciate donations of art,
garden furniture, garden art, steins, china, interior furnishings, glassware, jewelry, oriental rugs, silver, weathervanes, art and
antique books, toy banks, and more. Oh, and there will be items for sale from the Trillium gift shop which is closed until our new visitor services building is built. Check it out!
How do I donate item(s)?
Information is available at: vintage@bellevuebotanical.org or call Meri at 425-452-4216.
Do I deliver my donated items or will they be picked up?
Donations are now being accepted. Please email vintage@bellevuebotanical.org to arrange for pick up or drop off.
How do I value my donation(s)?
If you wish to take a tax deduction for your donations complete the Donation Receipt Form. Consider "fair market value" when setting item values. Consult your tax advisor for specific questions. The BBGS cannot provide an appraisal of value.
How will the items be priced for sale?
We reserve the right to price items for this sale. Items will be priced with the goal of selling within the sale dates. Based on
this, you should expect a "sticker" price somewhat lower than market value.
What happens to items that do not sell?
Items remaining unsold at the end of the sale will be sold on the secondary market to benefit the garden, or be donated to a
local charity.
Can I get my item(s) back if they do not sell?
Once donated and accepted, items become the property of the BBGS and cannot be returned.
What record will I receive for my donation(s)?
List your donations on the Donation Receipt form which will be signed by yourself and a
Vintage Sale representative. Preprinted triplicate forms are also available at our office or from a vintage sale volunteer. Inventory numbers are assigned when
accepted.
When and where will the Vintage Sale be held?
The Vintage Sale will be held at the Bellevue Botanical Garden in the two-story blue house on your right as you enter the Garden.
