Callicarpa bodinieri, var. giraldii 'Profusion'

Landscaping Value:
Grown mainly for their clusters of small but often highly colorful, spherical, bead-like fruits, they are ideal for a shrub border.  Fruits most prolifically in long, hot summers and if planted in groups.

Family: Verbenaceae
Height/Spread: To 10 feet, tall,  to 8 feet wide.
Leaves:
Elliptic to obovate, tapered, dark green to 7 in.
Flower: Small pink flowers in cymes in midsummer, to 1 1/2 in. across, from the leaf axils, followed by violet fruit in autumn.
Disease/pests: None

Bloom Period: July to August. Fruit in October/November
Conditions: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in sun or dappled shade.  Water freely during the growing season and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly; water sparingly in winter.
