Other cultivars/species: The
species A. japonicum is a fine tree as well,
reaching a height of 20 to 30 feet. Other few
cultivars of note include Acer j. ‘Aureum’,
Acer .j.
‘O-taki’ and Acer .j. ‘Vitrifolium’.

Extra notes and interesting information:
Striking crimson
autumn color. Often regarded as the most beautiful
fall color shrubs in the Northwest.
Occasional deep
watering and feeding will help keep roots from
rising to the surface.
‘Aconitifolium’ stays
small, so it can be used as a shrub or a small tree. |
