The
species S. davidiana is also an attractive evergreen and may
grown up to 20 ft. high. Some leaves can turn bronze or
purple in late fall and winter and are also accompanied by
clusters of beautiful red berries throughout winter. |

The berry clusters are great for
decorating using cut berried branches.
Prune more vertical branches in order to keep shrubs low

Leaves:
The pointed, oblong leaves can grow to 3 in. long, are wavy along the
edges, and are initially a reddish color which turns to a deep, shiny
green with maturity. Semi-evergreen to evergreen.
Flowers:
Compound clusters of
small white flowers bloom in June, followed by bright, even-colored
red berries which appear in late fall and last throughout most of
winter.
