Philadelphus coronarius ‘Aureus’

Extra notes and interesting information:
Prune every year just after bloom, cutting out the oldest wood and surplus shoots at base.  To rejuvenate, cut to the ground
.
Not fussy about soil type but must have good drainage.

Leaves:  2-4 in. long leaves are arranged in pairs along the  stems.  ‘Aureus’ has brilliant golden foliage that fades to lime green in mid-summer

Clusters of especially fragrant, 1 ½ in. white flowers.

Early summer

Conditions:  Partial shade in hottest climates
Natural Range: Southern Europe, Caucasus
