Stokesia laevis 'Blue Danube'

Cultural notes:
 Attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds.
Good candidate for mixed containers.
Remove faded flowers to encourage more buds.

Common Name: Stokes Aster, Blue Cornflower Aster.

Plant type: Herbaceous Perennial.

Family: Asteraceae.
Height/Spread: One –two feet in height, spreads 1-2 feet wide.

Leaves:  Dark green leathery foliage.

Flowers: Lavender – Blue, fragrant.
Bloom Time:
September, October, November.  Sometimes blooms into winter.
Conditions:
 Drought tolerant, prefers well-drained soil, regular moisture and full sun.

Natural Range: North American native wildflower.
Location:
Entrance garden.
