Viburnum x bodnantense ‘Dawn

Common Name: Dawn Viburnum

Plant type: Deciduous shrub
Family: Caprifoliaceae

Height/Spread: Upright, multistemmed 8-16 spread 4-8 feet

Leaves:  Small dark green, lanceolate to ovate, opposite, 4” long, toothed, deeply veined.

Bark: Cinnamon-colored

Flowers:  Loose clusters.  Strongly scented to 3” across, rose-red buds becoming white with a flush of pink.
Bloom Time:
September through March, best in late winter.  Red, yellow and deep scarlet foliage.
Conditions:
 For best results, plant in deep, rich, moisture retentive soil, full sun or semi-shade.
Diseases/pests:
No significant pests, although honey fungus and leaf spot can be problematic.

Natural Range: America, Europe and Asia.
