Extra notes and interesting information:
With watering, will produce several waves of bloom in spring and summer if cut back lightly after each flowering.
Cut plants back by half in fall to keep them compact.
Plants tend to reseed, so get ready to share them with others.

Mound-forming with upright shoots to 4 ft.

Leaves:  Wooly gray-green leaves to 6-8 in. long, 1.25 in. wide

Flowers:  Deep golden yellow – can also be lavender, 1-in. flowers in bell-shaped whorls along upper half of stems.

Spring-Summer
Conditions:
 
Not Particular about soil but must have good drainage.  Need little water  where summers are cool; in hot summer regions give them more moisture.
Diseases/pests:
No significant problems.  Resistant to oak root fungus

Natural Range: Mediterranean region
