years to bloom and can be an
inconsistent bloomer after
that. It is blooming for the
first time at the Bellevue
Botanical Garden in the spring
of 2007, as we celebrate our
15th Anniversary. It makes a
fine specimen tree. |

flowers surrounding a single green female flower. Each flower
subtended by a pair of showy white bracts.

well drained soil in sun to part shade. Must be given adequate
moisture when planted in full sun.
