Erica x darleyensis ‘Kramers Rote’

Extra notes and interesting information:

This cultivar was created by  Kurt Kramer, crossing Erica carnea ‘Myretoun Ruby’ with Erica Erigena ‘Brightness’
Provides an excellent groundcover for sunny locations, adding outstanding winter interest. 
Darleyensis: refers to Darley Dale, Derbyshire, England, where it was raised.

Nectar attracts bees on mild winter days.

Height/Spread:
Height , up to 2 feet inches and 20-25 inches wide.

Leaves:  Bronze-green needle-like foliage in winter.
Flowers: Clusters of pink/magenta urn-shaped blooms, arranged along stems held at varying angles which creates textural interest.

Bloom Time: January, February, March, April.
Growing Conditions: 
Likes regular sun promotes flower production.  Well drained soil to prevent root rot.

Natural Range:  England

Hardiness: USDA zones 6 to 8.
Location: Groundcover 09, Waterwise 18 and Waterwise 07.
