Parahebe catarractae

Extra notes and interesting information:

A light shearing after flowering keeps it compact.  Great low border plant.  It likes to grow beside streams, on cliffs and in rocky places, making it a great rockery or container plant.  Buy plants in bloom to be sure of the exact shade of flower.

Plant type: Compact evergreen perennial

Height/Spread:

Becomes a mounded perennial about 15 to 18 inches tall and about 3 feet across.

Leaves:  Small, green, toothed, spear shaped leaves are 1-4 inches long.
Flowers:
The white flowers are veined with a pink and purple ring at the center; the flower color can vary naturally from white to lavender blue.

Bloom Time: Spring
Growing Conditions: 
Requires full sun and well-drained soil to grow at its best.  Once established, it is fairly drought tolerant, requiring only occasional summer watering.

Natural Range:  New Zealand Native
