Aster x frikartii 'Monch'

Extra notes and interesting information:  This herbaceous perennial was raised in Switzerland by Mr. Frikart in around 1920, by crossing A. amellus and A. thomsonii. He named ‘Mönch’ (and its sister seedling ‘Jungfrau’) after famous mountains. Frikart’s asters stand out in the late summer and autumn seasons, when other plants are starting to fade.
