October 4 and 11, 2014, 10:00am - 1:00pm. This is a part two series that will take place at the BBG on October 4th and at the 21 Acres Kitchen in Woodinville on October 11th; both will be taught by Jessi Bloom. Jessi is an award-winning landscape designer whose work emphasizes ecological systems, sustainability, and self-sufficiency. She is owner of the design-build firm, N.W. Bloom which has won numerous awards from NW professional gardening organizations. 21 Acres is a nonprofit agricultural and environmental learning center showcasing the agricultural heritage of our region. The Center features sustainable design and technologies as well as ways to maximize the beneficial aspects of fresh local produce and farm products. The class on October 4th will illustrate which perennials are edible and how to grow them, and this class on October 11th held in the 21 Acres Kitchen, will demonstrate how to cook them in featured recipes. Lunch is included in the Ootober 11th class! Limited to 15 Participants. $70 BBGS Members, $80 Non-Members for both October 4 and October 11 classes.
